I had a P5, since sold. But I had the Groovetracer referencesubplatter and can echo Jetrexpro..the noise floor dropped.Ididn't care much for the Groovetracer acrylic platter, but the new delrin platter they make was superb. A marked improvement ov...
New turntable help
I have a similar set up as you. Parasound JC2/A21, PSB Synchrony's , Fosgate signature phono. I replaced a Rega P5 with a VPI classic one / Dynavector 20x2 and have been very pleased. It's a little over your budget but I don't think there would be...
Rega white belts
I found the white belt on sale and bought just to have as a spare for my P3/24I wasn't expecting any improvement in sound quality and there wasn't, possibly because I have a Groovetracer sub platter. Maybe the belt makes a difference with the stoc...

Opinions please re: the MM cartridges on Mus. Hall
I had an MMF 5.1 and was terribly disappointed with the Goldring cartridge. I swapped out a few different carts including a Dynavector 10x5 MC and Shelter 201 MM both of which seriously out performed the Goldring. I wasn't faulting the table itsel...
Best Dac with USB input for $1,000 or less
The Music Hall 25.2 seems to get good press. Even swapping out the stock tube as many suggest gives it much more detail and would still keep it under 1K. Any thoughts?
New DAC recommendation $1K, hopefully tube.
The PS Audio Digital Link III is a great DAC...I love it....Balanced outputs, 2 digital inputs, USB, low jitter andless than a grand..not tube though.
Sub for 2 channel music only setup
Marty,The Rythmik subs look very interesting. Which model do you have and how do you like them? Also, what do you think is better for 2 channel audio, a sealed unit or vented?
