Tidal v. Qobuz -- a different perspective
mwinkc  I just now searched The Beatles, on my Android phone app.  At the top is some bio on the Beatles, then just below are two albums and a tab for View All, then under that is Similar Artists.   So I don’t know if your app is different or if ...
Tidal v. Qobuz -- a different perspective
One feature that Tidal has is popular songs come up first after choosing an artist.  So If I just want to see what the most popular songs are and don't want to play entire albums, I can do that on Tidal but not Q.
Weiss DAC 204 hiccups
The Bluesound has a DAC and never experienced the 2 or 3 times per song that the music stopped for a second, until I started using the Weiss.  I have the Vault plugged into input 2 and the Weiss into input 3 so I can switch back and forth.  I get ...
Weiss DAC 204 hiccups
I also have a Weiss 204 DAC with a Bluesound Vault.  My Weiss started "skipping" pretty soon after I got it.  At first, turning it off for a couple days worked but then the issue came back.  After several conversations with the dealer and with Wei...
??? Are Manufacturers Killing Our Hobby ???
Yes,  consolidation and cost cutting has resutled in poor customer service.  Most of the "audio" stores have converted to home automation stores which makes it difficult to shop, compare, and get local service,
HOW can components be so expensive, and yet customer service is so bad.
I just tried contacting Revel / Harman again since they have not responded to my email from 5 days ago, and never returned my call from yesterday.  After 30 minutes on hold, I found a different Harman website that had a chat feature.  After an add...

VPI is so good, that the owner visited my house to help set up my table, because Upscale did it wrong.

lalitk - Except for McIntosh/Revel/B&W/Harmon etc.  These manufacturers do not respond when contacted for support for their products.   Yes, I did mention that the dealer whered I bought the product doesn't respond, but I'm primarily talking ...
Harman To Acquire B&W, Denon, Polk And Marantz From Masimo In $350 Million Deal
I've been trying to contact Harman for days now, without success.  They say they are  "luxury" brands but they don't reply to email or phone calls for support.  Can you imagine spending $50k, or even $5k, for a car and then when you need service t...
HOW can components be so expensive, and yet customer service is so bad.
Harman "luxury" owns  JBL Synthesis, Mark Levinson, Revel, Lexicon and Arcam.  So that means I can't consider any of those, McIntosh, or Weiss in any future purchases, or AA, since none of them seem to stand behind their products..
HOW can components be so expensive, and yet customer service is so bad.
I thought that I had chosen "wisely".  I found McIntosh at many high end dealers and so I thought they would stand by their equipment.  As for Revel / Harman, maybe things fell apart after the acquisition.  I also thought AA in N.Carolina was a ...
Help - static noise in speakers
oddiofyl - you are correct as well.  I had no idea, but yes - when I moved the ethernet cable farther away from the amp, the noise stopped.   Thanks to everyone who responded.  After all the troubleshooting, it was the simplest fix - move the eth...

faustuss - you are correct.  The Red River box was right next to the other one and they look almost identical.  My speaker wires are AQ Rocket 44
Help - static noise in speakers
I tried unplugging the amp for about 5 minutes but that didn't fix it.   I also just plugged in headphones and I don't hear the static. So does that mean it may not be the tubes, but maybe the speaker out connection? Thanks for all the ideas eve...
Help - static noise in speakers
I did try moving the tubes to the other side, and even tried 2 new, extra tubes that I had on hand - no improvement. So I guess I will wait for McIntosh to respond (even thought it took them weeks to respond the last time I had an issue)
