Most Rockingest Preamp south of $2k used I have an Audio Valve - Eklipse, which is not south, but rather a little north of $2k used, but man does that thing rock. Very dramatic and a giant sound stage. And I listen to Prog rock which is really intense. Save some more pennies and go for i...
HD ready madness It is a Mitsubishi 65" CRT WS-65819. The connectors in the DTV 1080i space are only component rca. It has no internal HD tuner. I can't afford any bullets at this time, but I would like to be able to send a 1080i picture from a DVD player via comp...
Chapman Redeux The total cost was about $1500 - new mid drivers, crossover upgrade, wiring upgrade, new socks and black diamond cones. Best audio money I ever spent.
Chaman Speaker Owners, What Components... First Doug - you need to change the subject, but I figured you meant Chapman speakers. I absolutely love my T7's and I am now using a 125wpc tube Music Reference RM9II to drive them. I love the tube sound and so do the Chapmans. It's much better t...

TT opinions please I was in the same spot once and settled on the Rega P25. I haven't been disappointed. If you need to move up from there, you can always spend the $$$ on the cartridge. It's a fabulous no hassle table.
Woodworkers ? I don't know if this will work with the Cherry, but I have used the raw meat of a walnut to rub out small scratches from darker furniture. Just rub the walnut meat (obviously not the shell) into the scratch and rub out with a polishing cloth. It w...
