Seeking Honest Opinions: Your Experience with McIntosh Audio Gear
Right on jheppe815. Mac equipment is solid, as well as the resale value. Unlikely to take a hit on the buy in cost other than general inflation.  I have multiple Mac pieces. It sounds "warm" to me. I have nothing to compare to. My ears love the s...

Anyone listen to Music on a FM tuner anymore?
For me, it was listening to the Grateful Dead Hour on our local FM station every Sunday Night from 11-12pm. I think that is where I started to appreciate the wonderful world of music. I remember listening to Sugaree while lying in bed and realizin...
Anyone listen to Music on a FM tuner anymore?
I listen frequently to my McIntosh MR-78. I enjoy having it on in the background. Some decent FM stations in southern Georgia. Also get my morning talk show and NPR in good reception. I know it is a lot of nostalgia but it is enjoyable. Certainly ...

Amen on Goose. Those boys can jam. A great studio track is Andrew Gold's Lonely Boy. So crisp on vinyl.
Jay's "Ugly Truth" video
I have not a piece of equipment in 4 years. However, I found some of his discussion enlightening and prompted some self-reflection.
What was your first record?
I think my first was ELO "Discovery" . Hard to remember that far back. Could have been Queen "The Game" but I think it was ELO.
Costliest Brainfart
After a 6 pack of IPAs, I tried to clean a small tuft of dust off of my stylus with a can compressed air with the small tube still connected to the can of compressed air. I thought it would work best if I pointed the contraption of doom right at t...
Whats playing on your system today?
I bought on a whim Patti Smith Group "Wave". I am blown away by it. Spectacular doesn't do it justice. What a great recording. Does she do better than this LP?
