A blessing? Or a curse?
Don't aks me. My wife has given me the same card for three Valentine's Days in a row and each time I was surprised at how nice a card it was. Then she reminded me it was the exact same card from last year, and the year before.
House buying and the aspiring audipihile
I'm happy with my Atlanta Metro home with finished basement (dry-walled, carpeted concrete floor, dropped ceiling with heavy-ish fibrous material squares) which has a decent sized room for dedicated audio (20.125' L x 12.67' W), EXCEPT for the cei...
Bagpipe Music
For some jazz bagpipes, check out releases from Rufus Harley. I've got his release, "Courage: The Atlantic Recordings". Very interesting stuff.

I have only two chairs in my room: one sweet spot and one directly behind the sweet spot chair. In the sweet spot you get enveloped by the music and are able to peer deep into it. In the secondary chair you get more of a wall-of-sound presentation...
Anyone used Mapletree Line 2CRM preamp with NAD power amp?
No experience pairing my Mapletree preamp (which is a wonderful piece) with a NAD integrated, but did try pairing it with a different integrated. The Mapletree did not improve the sound extensively until I paired it with a separate power amp. Info...

Why no interest in reel to reel if you're looking for the ultimate sound?
I have nearly 2,000 CDs and I need them all. Doubt most are available on R2R, and then there's the astronomical cost.

I too an am "nutty"! My top two nuttiest (all CDs at this point):Miles Davis - 65 discsJohn Coltrane - 53 discsEach of them would be even more had I kept their vinyl and inferior CD recordings I discarded in favor of better remastered discs. These...
