NAD Near Future HT Products?
Mahler, Goodlistening, and Stroud -  Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them. And after having some time to think about my question, I realized it was kind of pointless anyway. When NAD comes out with a new home theatre receiver, I'll look in...
Totem Model 1 vs Totem Arro
@dz13 No worries. I wound up trading in the P3s for the new Bison monitors and have been running them for about a month. I'm happy with them. Thanks for the reply.
Can I Trust The Music Room's Product Description?
Also have a few transactions with TMR. All smooth, but did have a slight problem with new speakers (one of their authorized brands so it was new stock) recently. When I informed them of the issue they immediately sent me pre-paid shipping labels, ...
Totem Model 1 vs Totem Arro
Hey @DZ13, have you found anything more about the Totem Bison line? I’ve seen the announcement from Totem authorized resellers too, yet there is nothing (still) on Totem’s website. What gives? Anyone know? I switched from Totem Sky monitors for th...
HT Bypass from Parasound or NAD?
Thanks @soix. Yes, I do understand that. The NAD products are both stereo amplifiers while the Parasound is an integrated stereo amp. Part of why I'm leaning toward it, or something similar if there is anything else out there.
HT Bypass from Parasound or NAD?
Good point @kota1. I have Dirac on my AVR but for whatever reason, didn't like the sound after doing the correction so I don't use it. But, after seeing your comment, it would make sense to re-run the correction and try it again strictly for two-c...
HT Bypass from Parasound or NAD?
Thanks for the response @carsbad. Must admit I've not heard of kinki studios. I'll have to research them a bit more. Looks like a Chinese-made product that just recently picked up US distribution, is that correct? Are you satisfied with the suppor...
BlueOS Changes Coming?
@jetter thanks for the info regarding swapping in an optical to compare against your Cullen coax cable. I’ll give that a try. And @dinosore, thank you for details about USB on the Vault. There is a mini USB port on the Vault that I assumed was usa...
BlueOS Changes Coming?
Thanks for posting that. Will look forward to the mobile rollout/update once available.
BlueOS Changes Coming?
Currently, I use an optical cable from a BlueSound Vault to my external DAC, then analog cable into the receiver. I assume USB between Vault and DAC would produce some improvement but not sure I'd hear the difference. Hopefully its more than that ...
Potential Pair of Great Bookshelf Speakers for Sale!
I use a Schiit DAC so I’m familiar with the direct to user economics and I support that. Don’t think I want to get into tubes at this point though. Wonder if you compared the P3s to the 30.2s and you thoughts if so. I like the P3s of course. Wonde...
Potential Pair of Great Bookshelf Speakers for Sale!
I agree. But that means sacrificing HT if one is to really do it right. I know I would miss it occasionally, so I’m trying to find the right amp with HT Bypass that gives me the (almost) best of both worlds. Parasound and NAD I think would be my b...
Potential Pair of Great Bookshelf Speakers for Sale!
Well, 8 months later and I'm still running the Harbeths. They've grown on me. The key is I have to listen to them at above-average volume to get the sounds that make me take notice. Saw a teaser about new Totem Buffalo speakers but still nothing o...
Suggest your most desired MSRP $1,500-$3,000 Stand Mount for a Shootout.
If still tabulating, I'd like to see Totem Sky Monitor ($2400) and Harbeth P3esr (approx $2800).
Has Anyone Compared the DAC On a Bluesound NODE 3rd Gen to a Separate DAC?
I'm no expert but I have a BlueSound Vault 2i, which I think has the same specs/DAC/ as your Node v3 (or slightly behind as my unit came out before the gen 3's). I'd just offer this; on the rare occasion that I can crank up the music (WAF!) I am p...
