seeking turntable recommendations
Good luck in your search, but really no one can recommend such a "personal choice". Each TT has a definate character that is suited to each of us in a very emotional sort of way. Only trial and error can be your judge. Best advice, buy used until ...
Christmass
I really appreciate you all who have helped me by your responses this past year. Although it's not politically correct, I'll say, Merry Christmas!
McCormack 225 preamp match
I meant to say also that it would be wise to stay with the same manufacturer specifically because of the synergy factor.
McCormack 225 preamp match
In my "limited" experience with components, (compared to most here), I can say without a doubt that my EAR 834P/w volume is an excellent synergistic match to the DNA 225. Of course you're interested in a full function pre, which mine is not.
My humble opinion.....
Lrsky,You're so right! Has anyone noticed that ther's not one remark concerning the band! ........

Three best audiophile CD/LP in your collection
"Neck n' Neck" , Mark Knopfler @ Chet Atkins, two guitar heroes at their best!!! LP, of coarse, eat your heart out if you don't own it!
Power cable for quiet background
Never tried Audience, but can recommend Grover Huffman. They do everything you mention and come with a 60 day guaranty and you'll come in under your budget.
Lp's you'd like to see remastered
Theduke, You realise this lp has been reissued, and I assume remastered at least a couple of times lately.
Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
Cwlondon, Your response/concern is well received. I've riden it for 2.5 years, no problem. I'm an old motorcross racer/ survivor of a head-on collision in the late 70's.

I also "proudly" ride a Kymco Super 9 scooter. Take that you guys!
