Start with Upgrade to DAC? @mdalton Very nice to meet you sir. I greatly appreciate your response and your opinion. I never said the ifi Zen was a bad product, but looking at Mike’s setup the weakest link is the ifi Zen. I also had a Zen before upgrading to the Neo. Usi...
Start with Upgrade to DAC? @mike4597 - I feel you are getting a lot of bad advice. Replacing your speakers? Your speakers are amazing. I have the Fyne Audio 502SPs and love them. I am using a sub which I think adds a lot of extension. I think your weakest link is your strea...
Vibration dampening @boxcarman - I use roomservice equipment vibration protectors on all of my equipment. I started with my sub and the difference was night and day. The bass is so much cleaner and tighter. I highly recommend reading the science behind the EVPs. ...
Warm relaxed digital coax @ghdprentice - touché may friend, touché.
Warm relaxed digital coax I was using a Cardas Clear coax for a few years and like it a lot but decided to try a Transparent USB. So much more detail using the USB without being harsh. If you can, I would demo both to find out which one you like best. best of luck.
SnubWay Question Thread Any reviews yet for those who have purchased the SnubWay. Would love to hear comments.
Cerious Technologies Graphene Matrix RCA Interconnects and Digital Coax Cables @kennethwthompson - I have the latest Lumniscate PC and Matrix speaker cables. Before I was using Cardas Clear PC and Clear Cygnus speaker cables. Bob’s are so much better. I’m currently using Clear Cygnus XLR and plan to replace them with Lumnisc...
Audioquest or Nordost for speaker cable @soix - great question. Before I was using Cardas Clear Cynus. Those are great cables and I still have them. The Cerious cables have so much better clarity, detail, and expanded soundstage. Not to mention the noise floor was greatly reduced. I can...
Audioquest or Nordost for speaker cable I hate to add another option but Cerious Tech makes speaker cables that far exceed their price point. Cerious Tech Lumniscate line gets out of the way and allows you to hear your components and as a result the music. I highly recommend doing your ...
my own experience with Tekton Design @hilde45 - thanks for the info. I’m looking at Revival Atalante 3 and Fyne Audio F501SP. Both have received favorable reviews but I have been hearing so much about the Moabs I had to ask. Thanks, again.
my own experience with Tekton Design Anyone in Colorado have a pair of Moabs who would be gracious enough to let me stop by and listen to them? I’m looking for new speakers and would love to hear them. thanks.
Quality of Sirius XM Sirius XM is used for convenience and reduction in the number of commercials, but not for sound quality. We use it in the cars and via Sonos speakers for the living room as background music. I have never listened to it on my reference system.
As An Experiment I Stuck A Few Things Under My Pre-Amp And Am Now On A Quest Touché, my dude. Touché.
As An Experiment I Stuck A Few Things Under My Pre-Amp And Am Now On A Quest @neonknight - if you have additional questions about RoomSevice’s EVPs, reach out to Norm. He’s a very nice guy and will take the time to answer them. Reading your first post, it sounds like you put the right amount of isolation (foam pool noodle)...
As An Experiment I Stuck A Few Things Under My Pre-Amp And Am Now On A Quest Thanks for creating this thread. About a month ago, I bought some Equipment Vibration Protectors from RoomService (Norm). I have to say, these EVPs have lowered the noise floor and distortion of my system more than I ever imagined. I started with ... |
