AudioMeca vs. AudioAero vs. Electrocompaniet Thanks Bryan (re: the powercord recommendations). I have spoken with Stewart at SOS, and done my research (I know another owner who has tried EVERYTHING and swears by hos Electraglide PC's), and apparently the new Electraglide stuff is a notch abo...
Sim Eclipse cd or Emc1.cd player which one Grange- e-mail me @ john.sutton@cmdg.com if you want to discuss- I used to own the Eclipse, and now have the Capitole. I can explain the Eclipse's benefits in detail (used DCSD Purcell upsampler with it, etc.).

ECM1, Audio Aero Capitole, or Sim Audio Eclispe? I had the Eclipse, and now own the Capitole. Eclipse- excellent detail retrieval and 'air', awesome bass. Capitole- also excellent detail retrieval, bass not as huge, but more palpability/organic sound, especially with vocals. Also, with the Eclip...

Sistrum Platforms Bruce- my good friend, how are you? Glad you are trying the Sistrum stuff- I use the Sp-1's under my modified Altec tube monoblocks with excellent results. I would not hesitate (can't afford it right now!) to use one of the component racks as well...
Who has tried Virtual Dynamics cables? hey everyone- been following Rick & crew for over a year now (he's a great guy by the way- very patient & knowledgeable), and being a careful purchaser, I have only purchased one of his cords (so far)- the top-of-the-line (albeit non-cryo'...
Placette pre amp Abe- re: the Pass & Placette- they are the same ones I would want to try as well. A dealer I know up here in Canada still has an older Aleph L (no remote, single-ended only) lying around- a passive/actuve hybrid- ingenious design.Red- thanks f...
The"new" look Capitole Sat- you're right. I spoke to Globe recently- the first North American shipment is spoken for. Now- that doesn't necessarily mean they are all SOLD (to consumers), however maybe dealers such as yourself have just bought them all up, knowing they w...

Placette pre amp Smw- Marakenetz has some good points- that guy knows what he is talking about! That being said, My Audio Aero Capitole CDP has I believe ~ a 4v output- quite strong actually. It is driving my 300B's nicely (although they have been totally rebuilt ...
The"new" look Capitole Mzn50- who are you? Fellow Canadian??Sattothestars (always wondered what that moniker meant by the way)- you seem to know a lot about Audio Aero- just a fan, or a dealer too??Anyways, I can't justify $6,000 extra for (slightly?) better sound- it i...
Theta Dreadnaught amp is it just a HT amp or music I have 4 tube monoblocks for the 2-ch system, however, if $$ was tight, I would sell everything and STILL keep the Dreadnaught, as it is so musical, AND does double-duty in home theater as well (which, sadly, is all I am using it for right now). |
