Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable
On an earlier Verdier I preferred the ball in situ - more high frequency extension more grounded and better timing. Hi Dover,Thank you for your report! These are exactly the differences I have expected, and I would very much like to see Vic imple...

Yes, the La Platine can be used without the ball bearing in fully magnetic levitation mode! However, instead of for security reasons, I believe the ball bearing is there for establishing the loop rigidity as mentioned by Richard.Apparently, Contin...

quote] I've played around with the Verdier tt, the grand-daddy of tt's with fully magnetic vertical suspensions.[/quote]Hi Lewm, not sure if there are different versions of the Verdier, but the latest ones do include a ball bearing, so not really ...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable
At the risk of annoying a bunch of people ... Hi Richard, very true, maybe we should take this offline, but before that, I would like to put in one last point: It would be very interesting to place a DTI on the platter surface of a mag bearing TT...

Just for clarity, the LO7D uses the rotor magnets to remove 'some' of the vertical load on the thrust bearing (steel ball and hard plastic). It is not actually suspended in that there is mechanical contact. Hi Richard, Lewm,As I understand, there...
Phono Pre multiple mc inputs+volume control
Except to note that most actual linestages confer some gain on the signal, as well as impedance bufferingHi Lewm, yes the IO by itself doesn't really have the linestage gain. While, with phono input, the IO should have enough gain to directly driv...
Phono Pre multiple mc inputs+volume control
If I understand correctly, the volume of the IO is positioned in front of the final output buffer stage. The line input, of course, has to be connected in front of the volume control so it is actually buffered and should have no impedance issues.H...
Phono Pre multiple mc inputs+volume control
The Aesthetix Io Eclipse with volume control can be special ordered to have 2 phono inputs (instead of the normal 1 phono + 1 line level inputs)!

I am curious how many Clearaudio Statements are sold? Even the less expensive but still in the $30,000 + and up turntable, Wave Kinetic NVS, TW Black Knight, Basis Work of Art, Techdas etc etc What is successful sale at this price point, 10, 50, ...
Why will no other turntable beat the EMT 927?
Listen to those digital recordings and through the time ( working on system up dates. ) as you " accept " in better way ( enjoying really. ) what you are listening as better is your system quality performance and for sure your enjoyment to analog...
Pass Labs XVR-1 crossover
I have also used the XVR-1 for a few years, first with a pair of Apogee Duetta Sig., and now with the Apogee Fullrange! I am very satisfied with its performance, which compared very favorably with my previous Bryston 10B and Accuphase 15L!One very...

Hi Halcro,Thanks for the information again! As I can’t use wall mount in my room, I have never experience its effectiveness! My room has suspended concrete floor. According to the specification, the pneumatic table could isolate up to 85-90% of the...

These stresses result in subsonic low-frequency Structure-Borne feedback which passes easily into equipment racks, support stands and into the turntable plinths sitting upon these racks/stands.Hi Halcro,Thanks for the information! So, any idea wh...

TEST FOR STRUCTURE FEEDBACK ……. Start jumping up and down right beside your TT…….Hi Ct, The most extremely test of this sort that I have seen was that, while following your initial settings, instead of jumping around the TT, you kick on its stand...
