People from outside the US don't seem to participate on Audiogon
When I travel overseas I tell people I’m Canadian because I am proud to be a Canadian living in Canada! Please don’t impersonate us or indulge in cultural appropriation...
The Power Plant Regenerator debate drags on
I have crappy power with THD often at 8 or 10%.  Using a PS Audio PP12 regenerator made a huge difference, and then I moved on to Accuphase PS-530 and PS-1250 power supplies that eliminate THD and produce a perfect sine wave from the distorted wav...

The speakers have had to time to break in.
Verity Audio Amadis Owners, Listener Impressions?
And what ever came of this quest for Verity Audio speakers? Did Jeff hear the Sarastro or Amadis and settle on either of them?
Balanced vs RCA preamps
When using XLR connectors be aware that Japanese audio manufacturers use a different configuration for pin for ground.   So if using say a US made pre-amp with a Japanese amp you need to make sure they are using the same pins for ground.  Accupha...

Thanks @billstevenson for the thoughtful follow up to your Luxman D-10x purchase. I bought a D-10x one year ago, and in my research prior to purchasing it I read this thread, so it is a treat to re-read it and digest the follow up by the op. I r...
Nuisance tripping of AFCI circuit breaker by inrush of current when turning on amplifiers

Nuisance tripping of AFCI circuit breaker by inrush of current when turning on amplifiers
Electrician failed to show today, so I contacted another company.  A frustrating delay... I know electricians are in demand, so I need to be patient.
Nuisance tripping of AFCI circuit breaker by inrush of current when turning on amplifiers
Thank you Matthew - that is a good suggestion.  It is not something I would be able to do myself.

Thank you Erik - sage advice.
Nuisance tripping of AFCI circuit breaker by inrush of current when turning on amplifiers
Some good suggestions - thank you! I did try changing the sequence of turning on the amps - and bingo - regardless of which one I turn on first, all is well until I turn on the second amp - this trips the breaker.  So it appears to be a load issu...
Nuisance tripping of AFCI circuit breaker by inrush of current when turning on amplifiers
Many thanks for all the expert advice - much appreciated! I think Accuphase amps have soft start - not sure about the power supply - but they all have large mechanical of/off switches that could be arcing. I will ask the electrician to tighten t...
