Best Integrated for 400 dollars Nad 320bee. Brand-spankin' new it's 400, and it's really quite qood, although it doesn't have a phono stage.
Is anyone using Signal Cable interconnects/cables? In both of the Signal reviews (I think they were positive feedback and Stereo TImes, but I may be wrong) they both commented on just how great the synergy of an all-signal system was. Of course, opinions vary about how much reviewers are affected ...
Best digital cable below $500 What about the new stereovox cable, by the guy that designed the illuminati? It's supposed to be an excellent cable by any standard and sells for under $100. Has anyone tried it?
Best Find Ever??? I'm currently using a NAD 7250pe receiver that my dad found in a thrift shop for $40. It sounds better than their current line up to me.
I need audition advice Thanks, Ed. You mention a quality that's very important to me--balance. Like everybody else, I'm always looking for the sound I don't hear, if that makes sense. For example, I grew up listening o Vanderstens, and as a result, I really can't analiz...
Tom Waitts Where do I begin? It's amazing that the list got as long as it did before someone mentioned "Rain Dogs." The song "Jockey Full Of Burbon" has one of the few perfect (for the song) guitar solos ever recorded.

What is it about the SET architecture? Thanks for the responses--they were exactly what I was looking for. This is the kind of thing that makes Audiogon so special.
New Model Rogue Mono's Any updates on the sound after break-in?
floorstanding speakers for NAD C-320BEE amp I have an old NAD 7250pe and I love it with my Axiom m22tis. It is similar in sound and power to the 320bee. Of course, YMMV.Dennis.
Point to Point Wiring Blue Circle uses almost all point-to-point wiring. I think only the CS line and their phono stage don't. Also check out DeHavilland (sp?) I think they make SET amps and even some SET guitar amps for those who have that kind of money.
Large volume adjustments on Jolida amp One way to handle this would be to replace the tubes with 5751s. Many people think they are a better sounding tube than the 12ax7, and they have 30% lower gain so your volume would be lowered in general. This would give your volume knob a greater ...
Using a receiver as a phono stage You know, selling it never occured to me. Do you have any phono amp reccomendations?
Bob Marley...Legend vs. New Album.... There are some very good comments above--the albums are pretty much the way to go. Another good start is the "Songs of Freedom" four disc set. The man's throwaways were some of the best songs ever to come out of jamaican music. Lastly, If you're t...
Jazz Review: Miles Davis Don't forget Tutu, Filles De Kilimanjero and "music for brass." |
