Martin Scorsese. The Blues. This was an excellant series with a different director for each episode. Some are even better than others. The one from the kid's perspective as he follows the man around as he visits various bars and girlfriends is a bit wierd. The CD collection i...
Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc? Muffled...a good way to describe it also on my Audio aero Capitole. I just thought it was the mixing. Could be the disc itself.
Best 70+ Watt Tube amp The 804s are good speakers but i agree with the above in that I would probably not use a tube amp with them. You might try the Kef Referance 205 or the 207. I have a pair of 205s that I run off a McIntosh 2102 amp. Sounds great.Try to get yourself...
Cable confusion You don't need to spend that $1,000.00 for a bunch of cables. The law of diminishing returns does apply in that your first improvement will probably get you the greatest improvement over the stuff you find at Circuit City, Good Guys, etc. The peop...
Does anyone do good protest music anymore? If you listen to the lyrics of many a FM-played song you will find lots of messages. It is often hidden the the song. I suppose that Peter, Paul and Mary were correct in 'I did rock and roll' when they said "The radio won't play it unless you lay ...
What exactly is meant by Re-Mastering is what makes some CDs released on one label seem so much better than the same songs on the original label. There are many examples. One such would be two sets of Motown recordings that happened to be given to me at the same time. The...
Audio Aero Capitole 24/192 vs the MKII version cdp Mine was one of the first p4 releases and it did give me some problems. I called Globe and after checking the serial number they were somewhat helpful with the upgrade even though I bought it here on Audiogon. The serial number will have a sequenc...
Audio Aero Capitole 24/192 vs the MKII version cdp I have had it for a few years. The latest version has an analog passthru which is really good. In addition to using it as a Cd player, I run my satellite feed with toslink and I run my DVD player through coax. Being able to run my tuner through th...
Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc? Art,well said.
Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc? Hey...if politics is more important than singing, then RUSH is your ticket....you know....don't listen to anybody but me.....
Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc? Mine plays on my Audio Aero Capitole, in my car and both sides work well in my Audiovox DVD/CD player.
Is this ludicrous or not? Want to read some good reviews, input, etc? No problem c'mon over here to Audiogon......now if only the editors would lighten up a bit and allow us out own rant section.....
Any problems with Springsteens DualDisc? The CD itself is not bad. I think it is his first since the 'Ghost of Tom Joab', which, in all honesty is a better CD. The DVD side is only the words on a kinda pretty background. Still, it is a good CD and I am glad I bought it.
balanced outputs It really depends on your components. If they are all truly(!) balanced, then this is the way to go. Many, if not most amps with balanced inputs are not really balanced and they add a circuit to conform with the RCA input.
Review: McIntosh MC-275 reissue Tube amp I own the McIntosh 2102 tube amp. Wonderful amp. Oh, McIntosh amps respond well to tube rolling. |
