Dynaudio Emit 10 Congrats - Now you have a taste of the Dyn house sound. It only gets better as you move up the line
Can a power conditioner cause electrical problems? Welcome back Elizabeth!!
Filling speaker stands: sand, lead, steel, rice. Full, half, etc? Back when I had Dyn C1's I used very dry sand to fill them about 2/3 full. To me the sound was more coherent. Not sure I remember how the sound changed but I did not like the way they sounded when full. Also since the Dyn Stand4 had 2 posts one fr...
Shortening REL Subwoofer Cables When I got my Rel B3 I cut the wire down to about 12ft. Not a problem at all.
what to buy first +1 for speakers first. IMO every manufacturer has a 'house' sound and variations within that. Even if your amp or source is "isn't good enough" for optimal sound the speakers can deliver you now have an idea where to go next. Personally I don't lo...

Ekco EV55 using 6550's in place of KT88 When I had Dyn C1's my favorite was the TS 6550 solid black and grey plates. Mids that remind me of EL34's but with much better lows and more power.
Ekco EV55 using 6550's in place of KT88 If I remember correctly the KT88 was made as a replacement/substitute for the 6550. Should be fine
Ansuz @conagie where are you getting your prices from? What cable are you talking about (25K + 10k for D-TC)? The D-TC power box for the Ic's is 4K. Power and speaker cable do not need the power box.. It's not voodoo. |
