BC silver serpent or Apogee Wyde Eye? use the wyde eye. cheap works great. had mine made custom by a recording studio in nyc. nice quality, nice deal.this is what they use in studios to record and monitor music...they think exotic cables are a joke.alan
Best reasonable$ upgrade from spikes? are your spikes removable? if so try sorbothane isolation pads that i have on audiogon. they look like hockey pucks and are great at damping vibration....plus they wont ruin your floor. is 4.00 bucks pop cheap enough?alan
How to couple my monitors to stands??? sorbothane round isolation pads work great. dampen vibration and have a tacky surface that wont stick to the speakers. selling some on audiogon now.alan
600 used speakers? dont be dismissive about your set up. ive had a 4.6 for years and it is a solid performer. proac tablettes would be my suggestion. when you get some more dough add a sub upgrade your front end and you will be listening happily for years.alan
tube suggestion thanks for the advice. any thoughts on where i can score a couple of tubes? im thinking upscale audio or parts connection.alan
