For SACD, Delos recording of the Mahler 2nd, third or fifth movements. For CD, Reference Recordings, Bernstein Candide Overture.
1 track digital demo. What do you pick?
OK you all have one admit it..... It is hard to get people's
attention these days. And I am sure you all could fill an evening with awsome tracks. But you all have one CD you grab, one track you cue it up to, to give the uneducated a crash course on how music can sound properly reproduced. Maybe it will be the hook to get them to sit down and listen. Maybe it will convert them to our addiction. But for sure it will make the hair on the back of their necks stand up and they will never be able to forget that moment.
Tell us. What is that CD (including pressing/release info) and can you find it in the dark? I suppose one of the big replys I will get is "mine is not a CD, it is an LP" Fine and dandy, but I am interested in CD (or SACD) only this thread. One track. Any genre.
