1990 Radio Shack catalog

A little bit of a clickbait, but it was a wonderful nostalgia trip looking at all the stuff that people goggled over at Radio Shack almost 40 years ago.

Yeah back in the 80s there stuff look good and they had receivers that put out way over 100 wpc at crazy good prices.

We still have 2 Radio Shacks located here

in Southwest Florida,

One in Cape Coral, FL,

The other one I think it’s in Fort Myers, 

or Naples, FL

Well. I’ve run the de capos with tubes. Primaluna PL II—35wpc
 
A Grommes PHI-26.  A 2/6 watt EL-84 tube amp
 
The best is a Decware Mini Torii a 4 watt tube amp dual mono with 6V6 tubes. It can use a whole variety of different tubes.  
 
The sound is amazing rich and in a 20x12 ft room open on the long sides I easily get 75db from 15 feet away
