I know what you mean. My 11 year old Onkyo HT receiver is awesome (I understand Onkyo QC started failing after my purchase which is sad). The only problem with my Onkyo is the radio has failed (I think). Used to work fine (analog AND digital receivers). This thing makes watching movies so exciting. I was wondering, when it dies or I purchase another modern receiver (Anthem), if I could find someone to transplant its power supply to a two channel chassis. The transformer must weigh 20 pounds or more on its own. Would be a shame to just toss it in a landfill. |
