ARC VS115 and Current-Hungry Speakers?
Soundstage has posted a very positive review of the VS115 matched with a variety of speakers including the Usher Be-718s which are inefficient but have a pretty easy-to-drive impediance curve that only dips below 6 ohms briefly and at that in the treble not the bass frequencies.
I'm thinking of matching the VS115 with a SF Auditor. The Auditor may be as much as 5DB more efficient than the Be-718, but the Auditor has a tougher impediance curve which glides along at 4 ohms through much of the frequency spectrum and dips below 4 ohms in the bass.
What do you think...Auditor and ARC VS115...musical bliss or not the best of matches?
