Audioquest Rocket 33, anyone knows how to take off the banana plug end?

Hello all! I have a 10ft audioquest rocket 33, the original banana plug is sorta darkish, i gotta a hold of Banana 500 series that i’d like to swap it with. I do not see any screws on the original banana plug, anyone knows how to remove that end in a safe way?
Also, will it be ok if i put gold banana 500 on the amp end, and silver banana 500 on the speaker end? Thanks

I thought they cold welded the connections.  I could be wrong but I think I saw it somewhere.
I have 33 and have changed from bananas to spades and it’s pretty simple. If you go to approx 3 minutes into this video you can see them being applied to Rocket 11, and it’s the same process.

Basically the two tiny allen screws closest to the banana are holding the wire (this is evidently what they refer to as “cold welding”) and then there are two opposing screws below that are simply grabbing  the rubber/plastic legs of the jacket. Loosen them all and jut pull it off. Be careful not to lose the screws because they are tiny.
The description on the web site says "gold plated terminal ends"
Spade "Y", banana, and pins.

It really shouldn't tarnish, how about polishing the ends, clean, then use  "Nevr-Dull" to polish them up.. Great, and non abrasive.

They talk all kinds of mumbojumbo as far as coatings, and covers, and.. LOL. you know.. Is Snip and swap, an option?

The add shows, a hex head screw and a tool (hex key) with different terminal options. Contact them, they may just say snip and buy from them.  You don't have to, ay? You already have your own..

Regards
I tried working with the Banana 500 series and ended up just sending it back.  The screws on the outer case are so tiny that they strip very easily, and then it's junk (some were already stripped coming from the factory).  Also, the clamp screws for the wiring aren't as good either.  I had much better luck working with the Banana 300 series where case/molding is permanently attached.  But the best banana's I've worked with are the Furutech FP-200B, which can be gotten in gold-plated or rhodium-plated.

I am not sure but i think there are 2 version rocket 33 that has banana plug, mine is not the one as seen on the video, the hard plastic that holds the silver pin does not have any type of hole nor screws that are visible, if you just google rocket 33 images, you will see both version.

I’ll try that polishing technic with “nevr-dull” you mentioned.

O no! thats not encouraging!! I will give it a shot anyhow after figuring out how to take my current banana plug off and see what happened.
Problem solved! I called audioquest, they said that only the 10ft Rocket 33 banana plug cant be swapped, only that model, what a luck lol! Thanks everyone.

Interesting post.  I can't help but  I do have Rocket 33's running to my B&W 804s and they made a big difference from a no name, cheap brand that they replaced.

Cables do matter!

Good luck.
