Cambridge Audio Azur 651A accept spade connectors?

I just got a CA Azur 651A and I'm trying to use some speaker cables with spade connectors, but I can't see how the terminals could possibly accept them. The terminals have raised rings around the plate which don't allow the spades to slip under the lug.

Anyone use spades with the 651A, and if so, how did you do it?
