Can Piega P10's Be Placed Up Against The Wall?

Hello-
I have a large, difficult room (20x22x20) with no options for speaker placement. The media wall also serves as a walk-way to another room, so pulling them out is not an option. I've heard the P10's have good bass & I need a speaker that can pressurize a room. Amplification is Classe CA-401. Can I get away with putting the Piega P10's up against the wall?
Thanks

There are a few speakers designed for wall or corner placement. Klipschhorns come to mine, but are not my cup of tea even though I have an SET amp. But, after years of speakers that go way out in the room I now own the Audio Note AN E speakers. I have the 8k dollar version, sorry I forget all the numbes and I think they have all new numbers now. They reall sound best in the corners but sound very good up against the rear wall. I have reviewed these speaks on and Audio Asylum and I think here as well.
I have a pair of NHT3.3 these were designed to be against the front wall. I have them set with 6 inches between the wall and back of speaker.I considered getting a pair of P10 about a year ago. I emailed the MFG. and if I remember they said 9 inches would be a minimum.Call the importer or email the MFG
George, don't get too excited. 9" minimum? I don't know about that, though my good friend Diane goes with an 8 inch minimum. warren :-)
George, I've owned these speakers.

A great pair of speakers IF and ONLY IF you have the room for them. 3 or four feet away from every wall at a MINIMUM (preferably more) or you're wasting your time/money with these speakers. Otherwise bass will be boomy, dynamics will be compressed, soundstage will be flat, and imaging will suffer.
