Cardas Clear XLR interconnects

I need a pair of Cardas Clear XLR interconnects one measuring 1.5 m and the other 4 m. Cardas doesn’t respond to my question. This is to connect two mono blocks amps to an off set preamp. Possible?

For everyone’s information:  Cardas replied to my email regarding a pair of Clear XLR interconnects of different lengths and told me to order from a dealer a single cable in each size I require. Easily solution

I've purchased single cables from The Cable Company for the center channel speaker in my home theatre.  I suspect most dealers offer this option.  The cost is half of that for a pair.  You are effectively buying two single cables, albeit different lengths.

My suggestion would be to buy a 4m pair.  Honestly, a mismatched pair would be nearly impossible to sell later.  You'd have to find someone with exactly the same need later.

I’ve got CARDAS CLEAR XLR interconnects as past of my loom.

CARDAS doesn’t sell direct to customers with a very rare exception for very occasional audio expo show demo clearouts, offered to prior registered customers. Otherwise CARDAS directs you to authorized CARDAS dealers for new orders and at order lengths as highlighted below.

The ICs are priced and then sold in requested length pairs. You will likely be priced as a closest set length to your wishlist , usually in matched metre bespoke increments.

OPTION 1; BUY NEW

After dealer purchase, you can then provide your bespoke request with proof of COA to CARDAS for written approval and authorization to reterminate them to your cutdown bespoke length specs. If they agree, and after full physical inspection at their plant ,  it will be offered at a quoted upfront fee plus insured shipping both ways. It’s gonna cost you.

OPTION 2: BUY PRE-OWNED

I’d first look for a pre-owned pair at a suitable available longest length and do the retermination sequence above if it meets your budget .

MY TAKE:

Buy a preowned XKR ICs pair at a suitable longer length setpoint, and just live with it.

You need to ensure they are an OEM bona fide pair provided with a valid COA,

I’d fuggedaboud the whole retermination bit. Weird custom mismatched IC lengths will kill your potential future resale opportunities, AND simultaneously kill their resales fair market value in the future
