I don't think you will ever accuse Isabellina of being too forward or bright. It is actually a great sounding DAC with a very natural sound and depth. Bass, dynamics and detail retrieval are about average, but its musicality and depth way above average.
DACs --Red Wine Audio Isabellina, Lector Digicode
Thinking about trying one of these...any experience with either? Thoughts?
I HATE HATE HATE edgy/forward sounding systems/components that impress initially, but wear you out: I like a "musical/organic" sound, natural timbres, and an easy flowing liquidity..." (Thanks again TJ!)
As I've mentioned in other posts...I have a modded PS Audio DL3 which is OUTStanding... Only area where I think there's room for improvement is maybe the depth of soundstage and the imaging. I know you can have good imaging without edginess. Maybe with some tube action I can get there?
Other Factors: I don't care about hi rez.
Please let's limit posts to people who've had actual experience with one or both of these.
P.S. Have I mentioned I HATE forward sounding equipment? ; )
