I used Deezer for a while. I found their files to be of good quality and I liked their interface best of all the ones I tried.
Then I switched to roon and Deezer isn't supported. Otherwise I might still be using them.

Hello,
I was wondering who else here have tried are or currently using Deezer for streaming audio. I found out that they use a feature similar to Spotify's Connect which allows to stream HiFi music directly. Though their Connect is not as seamless as Spotify, I liked the fact that they have about 97-98% of the music that I listen to. So gave it a shot over the past couple of days and obviously the sound quality it so much better than Spotify. Had tried Tidal and Qobuz before, but they neither had the titles not the Connect that Spotify has. Tidal's site has been indicating that "desktop Connect" is coming soon for the past 3-4 years.
Pretty happy with Deezer's UI and sound quality, despite the minor bugs that they have with desktop Connect.Hopefully they will be resolved soon.
Anyone else care to share your experience - both positive OR negative - with Deezer?

Thanks for the feedback @carlsbad2 . I liked their streaming quality and interface too. It is a shame that their Connect does not work as seamlessly as Spotify's. Also recommendations in Deezer work only in Desktop client and not on the tablet/phone. Maybe I have to explore more. But I am thoroughly enjoying the music and sound quality they offer. |
