If you like the Dick's Picks series there are a wealth of recordings circulating out there, anything from Charlie Miller particularly, that often sound better. Pretty much the entirety of 68 is out there much of 69 also if you like late 60s. For me some highlights are 2/13-14/70 Fillmore East, which makes up Dicks Picks 4, 4/28-29/71 Fillmore East which was an official release, no a Dicks Pick though. etree.org is a good site for shows if you are into torrenting. Also the recent 30 Trips Around the Sun has some very good shows, 8/15/70 Winterland and 1975 Golden Gate Park were highlights for me. For something more recent the entire 1990 Spring tour was released as a box set great shows i was fortunate to catch 8 shows on that tour, great stuff. I guess what I'm trying to say if there's a lot of stuff out there, beyond Dicks and Daves and official releases, so if you want to explore have fun! I have about 125 shows in my collection and counting.
Oh and don't forget Live Dead aka 1/26, 2/27 and 3/2 1969 Fillmore West to me the absolute best renditions of Dark Star>St Stephen>The Eleven.
jriggy to be honest I suck at techno stuff and don't torrent or anything myself but friends of mine do and they pretty much dropbox me stuff. I wish I could be more help but give etree a try. And when I say better than official releases a lack of compression is one thing that stands out to me particularly on Dicks Pick 4, Charlie's remaster is just more open sounding and extended at the frequency extremes.
@vicweast The 5/25/77 The Mosque Richmond VA was released as Dave's Pick # 1.
Guys the reason most of May 77 hasn't been released is exactly because so many of those shows are already out there as great sounding soundboards. Official releases would be redundant. I have awesome copies of both 5/8 and 5/9 if anyone needs them shoot me a
pm.
Either way the shows are out there and honestly I'll take a Charlie Miller master any day of the week over official releases. Listening to his remasters of 8/29-30/69 of Family Dog at the Great Highway and holy crap they sound amazing!
Jafant go to archive.org, hundreds of Charlie Miller remasters and to be clear these are all unofficial bootlegs but Charlie has a huge following and is a very good guy.
Also if you've never torrented before best to get some help from a friend who knows what he's doing it can be pretty daunting.
Dick's Pick 4 and I've only hear about five of the Dave's Picks nothing really has stood out to me.
There are some people doing some very nice stuff with matrixing aka adding crowd noises back in to great sounding soundboards.
Not a big 78 fan myself but good to see some stuff released, I'm sure it will come my way eventually. Just checked I only have two 78's in my collection 1/31 and 5/14, plus 5/10 which was a Dicks Pick. I used to have the Red Rocks shows as tapes but they were lost along the way somewhere.
Raymonda I'm good thanks I have Charlie Millers version of it and it sounds amazing, I've shared it with a few folks here myself.
So in addition to everything that's been recommended  here don't forget that Tidal, and Spotify, have TONS of live Dead shows including most of the Road Trips and Downloads series and lots of Dicks Picks. And great sound quality on Tidal.
Listened last night very solid overall, but much preferred 7/16 over 7/17 that Playin>Cosmic Charlie>Spanish Jam chunk is really great and very melodic for a Playin jam.
Just got dropboxed the 78 box set, going to take a while to download it but will do it overnight if I can and give it a listen tomorrow.
Listened to a chunk of it last night it was ok nothing special. Sadly David is running out of really good shows to release.
Oh and it’s in Tidal Masters so Hi-Rez and if your dac can decode it MQA. Sounds great!
Just listened to my Charlie Miller remastered 5/9/77 last night great sound and fantastic show. I am sure the official release it outstanding but have not yet heard it.
Jafant I have all three not as physical copies but as files. I could upload them to google drive or something. Alternately I could put them on a thumb drive and physically mail them shoot me a PM if interested.
Boxer12 my first show was 7/6/86 RFK so started later than you. Was at Alpine in 88 and 89. My favorite Venue would have to be Hampton Coliseum the Warlocks shows were a once in a lifetime event.
