Am I the only one who believes that early (not necessarily first) pressings almost always sound better than recordings remastered from "the original master tapes" ?
I'm a big collector of early pressings of CDs, and mostly prefer them over remastered CDs but some stand out as being superior. The DCCs, many of the MFSLs, the Roxy Music box set, Steve Wilson's "Aqualung", Alan Yoshida's XRCDs.
