IME, EMI UK pressings are superior to any of their spin-off labels which were pressed in the US.
Angel Records was started by EMI to import UK pressings into the US. Sometimes they were of similar quality, but typically they were inconsistent since some were pressed in the UK and eventually Angel became a US operation.
EMI/Angel created Seraphim to offer historic recordings, 78 rpm transfers, and reissues at a budget price. I have found that a Seraphim release is inferior to that of an EMI UK pressing. Seraphim may not be pressed by the same masters.
