Gryphon Antileon Signature & Mirage Combination and Heat Problem

Hello everyone,

This is my first message on this forum.

I’m opening this thread to ask a few questions about the Gryphon Antileon Signature and Gryphon Mirage that I’m considering purchasing.

1. I’ve read somewhere that some models of the Antileon Signature had a one-sided heating issue caused by a faulty material. I also heard from someone that this issue was resolved in units with serial numbers above 200. The unit I’m planning to buy has a serial number of 169. I’m not sure how accurate this information is, but if this issue arises, sending the unit from Turkey to Denmark for servicing would be a major hassle. There’s a distributor here, but I don’t know if they provide service support since I’m not purchasing the unit from them.

2. How is $19,000 as a price for both units?

3. I prefer having the preamp and power amp from the same brand, as I don’t want to mix different sound characteristics. Do you think these two units, even though they were released at different times, would be a good match?

4. Currently, I use Monitor Audio Gold 500 6G speakers with an Audiolab 9000N streamer and the 9000A integrated amplifier. My speakers operate in the 130-600W range, and the 9000A provides 160W at 4 ohms. If I replace the 9000A with this Gryphon combo, would I notice a significant improvement in sound quality, even though I’m not an audiophile?

Thank you in advance for your support!

You're taking a leap for relatively big money and are unaware of whether it will sound better? Save your money and work with a dealer like Upscale Audio et al.

In Turkey unfortunately the retailer does not exist.

if i decide this gryphon, i will listen of course.

i thank you for your reply.
