Guru QM-10 two - Who's heard them and what were your impressions

I picked up a pair of these little guys from a local seller a couple days ago for a very descent price. I have had lots of fairly pricey monitor speakers in the past and I have to say I am mightily impressed. What a cool little speaker that plays anything but little. "Musical" as all get out. I don't believe these are too well known especially in the US. Just curious as to some other peoples impressions if you have heard them. If you haven't and get a chance I think you would be impressed even if they may not be your cup of tea.

Honestly I dont really ever listen to anything on low volume. They sounded great at medium to high volume. Being that they are on the lower side of efficiency they probably would not be my first choice for low volume.
many thanks

One more thing please:
Do you remember how they sound on low volumes?
Is the bass there?

I hate speakers which have to played on medium or loud volumes to get the bass from them.
I listen to music at nights so they have to be quite quiet.

How is Guru in that respect?
thanks
meekeenz,
I do not have the Gurus anymore. Actually regret selling them. They are definitely not the last word in resolution, articulation or max volume. What they are is very musical and fun to listen to. Setup right they do definitely have a bass response that far defies their size. Voices especially I found great on them. Where they don't do real well is with fast complex music. I would recommend a small to medium size room if you like to play loud. They have that little light on the front where it lights up if you are pushing the speaker limits. At the volumes I liked I was always right on the edge. I much preferred tubes with them. Sounds like i am criticizing them but spread them out to the corners with a slight toe in and I think you would be impressed. The guy I sold them to still had them a year later and loves them.
Hey mofojo

Do you still have Guru?
Are they still that impressive as in the beginning?

I heard that QM10 give particularly big sound (like a floorstander) and bass although they are 'only' monitors. Is this true?
I love monitors which make a huge  impression on a listener (I am not an audiophile looking for flat/neutral sound) and that, if you close your eyes, you seem to be listening to a huge floorstander. Are they like that?
Others I am considering (which I hope are like that) are Quad S2 and Buchardt S300mk2.

thanks

ps. btw, are there any differences (soundwise) between QM10, QM10Two and their newest version Q10? Can anyone advise?
