When I hear a new song I like or I pick up a suggestion from this forum I listen to their catalog and use the related artist feature on Qobuz or Tidal and spend some time listening to all sorts of new artists. I also look at and listen to new album releases on both services. This may not appeal to you since it doesn’t sound like you want to spend the time roaming around. I usually know within a few minutes whether I like an artist or album. You can always start a thread here asking for recommendations within a specific genre. That might help cut down the time you spend looking for new things to hear.
How do you decide what to listen to? Same old stuff?
I have trouble deciding which movie or ice cream I should buy. Wine decisions are also challenging.
And then I sit down with Quobuz and surf through stuff hoping to find something wonderful to listen to - it's really hard. Lots of really nice pictures but that doesn't help. my time is Limited and I don't wanna make bad decisions it takes a lot of time to listen to music. I have a wide variety of stuff I've listened to previously but I don't wanna keep listening to the same old stuff all the time.
I love it when others give examples of what they've listened to so I've written down those a few times and it works out.
So many music choices, so much to choose from.
