HTM4 Diamond with CM9's a Good Idea? Or CMC2?

Thought I posted this earlier but it hasn't come up.
I know the CM C and CM C2 are the "same style" models to suit the CM9s as fronts. However, can the HTM4 Diamond center be used instead of the CMC2?
Would it actually improve the set up or possibly just cause more of an imbalance issue?
I know the HTM4 is a better speaker than the CMC2 head to head but would getting the HTM4 instead of the CMC2 be a bad idea considering I have the CM9s as fronts and going with CM2 or CM5 on the rear.
Opinions greatly appreciated, I am by no means an expert and could always do with your advice on this one.
