Innuos update 1.4.8

Found the info on their Facebook page. 

You can go to innuos.com for info on what its supposed to do. For me it bricked by Zen when I did the requested reboot. Maybe today it will work better for you.

The remote session with Innuos this morning did not solve my issue. It appears that the part of the upgrade disabling the IPv6 is causing some problems. I am awaiting instructions to return my Zen mk ii for repair.

Look like Innuos has pulled the update and provided this explanation on their website:

"07/05/2021: Due to a few rare cases where installing version 1.4.8 caused the Innuos Server to no longer be detected on the network after reboot, we have decided to make the update unavailable until we can determine the exact cause of the issue and prevent it from happening to other users. We will update this page once version 1.4.8 is available again. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused."

I had my remote session this afternoon with Innuos. It took about twenty minuets to get everything sorted and the new update installed. I'm back in business. But this incident makes me wonder about the big one coming later this month. 

Fortunately, I just concluded a remote session with Marcelo from Innuos which successfully fixed the problem. There’s no way to know for sure, but Marcelo attributed the issue possibly to an interruption during the transmission of the update to my Zenith.

Good news! The second remote session with M. Vittorino was successful. It took nearly 2 hours and a connection to a monitor and keyboard. In my case the problem was a library fault in the 1.4.6 update. It was very late in W. Europe when he finished, and I really appreciate the effort.

No problem here.  I updated my Zen Mk3 a few days ago.  I liked that innuos said up front it might take a while to update; set my expectations.  Took about 1/2 hour.  

Can anyone explain the new features/modifications of 1.4.8 over 1.4.7? I’ve looked online and can’t find any release notes.  I’m using 1.4.7 and a little reluctant to update because of the problems some have experienced.  I’d be very upset if I my Innuous was unavailable, even for a couple of days, because of such a problem. Is the update worth the risk? Thanks.

I updated my older Innuos Zen mini mk ii this afternoon. No drama this time.
