Interconnect Recommendation

I just bought 6m balanced kimber Hero's for my main speakers, and 6m single ended kimber Hero for center. i'm finding them too shrilly in the high's. Anyone recommend anything else in the same price area that has tamer highs. i prefer warm sound, as my system is warm, but the Hero's did something that I just cannot explain, but hate. Associated gear. Main: Vandie 3a Sig, Audio Research D400MKII, AQ type 6 double run into HF, AQ CV4 double run into LF. Center: KEF 100, Classe CA100, AQ Indigo Gear: Pioneer Elite PD65 EAD Ovation Tributaries SCV100 dig. coax I had used the Trib SCA200 in shorter length before the Heros, and surprisingly was much more subdued than the Heros. I've had the Hero's for about a week, running them about 6 hours a day, and this weekend continuously.

1st, it aint the cable, it's the silk dome tweeter breaking up. KEF should've adopted Audax's catenary design. Your cables are only allowing the tweeter to breathe. That being said, you can install a 0.5 ohm dummy load resistor in line between the tweeter & its crossover. This'll curtail the input signal's transients inducing the breakup & lower its volume a tad. As an unintended bonus, the 2 drivers will blend even better due to a slightly lowered highpass crossover point (roughly a relatively safe less than 1/10 of an octave).
I also intensely disliked kimber interconnects in my system because of their high frequency glare. now I use Van den Hul, which is hard to find, but well worth the search. Very smooth and open on high end, no harshness whatsoever.
Neal: i like the type 6. it's a good cable for the price. i bought the cv4 to biwire with them. the cv4 seems to be a better cable.
Sorry I have no response for you...I use MIT that isn't in the same range as what you're looking for, but i did notice you use Audioquest Type 6--I just posted concerning that compared to MIT T2 speaker cable. what do you think of your AUDIOQUESTS?
Contact "Synergistic Research" and let them know, what kind of system you have, also what kind of music you listen, and they will recommend the cables for you. Other than that, i would recommend Discovery 1 2 3 $320/8ft
