France is largely nuclear, the sound quality radiates. Germany has gone wind power, so when it works (and if you can afford it) you can look forward to a lot of air. Here in the US the east coast is coal, the sound is dark and grainy. On the west coast California you can no longer listen except during certain hours, they need the water for the snail darters and the electricity for AC and to start forest fires. Up here in Washington state where I live we have the best power, all hydro, which is why my system has such a beautiful liquid character.

There are differences of course but for our purposes they are all the same: crap. None is any good. All benefit from an endless array of conditioners, power cords, and Krissy magic.
