MoFi SACD of Joni Mitchell's "Blue"

Well, I just did a back to back comparison of the Reprise CD and MoFi SACD of "Blue." The SACD beats the Redbook by a country mile. The SACD sounds as if a veil has been lifted and there is space, breath, air, solidity, and gravitas to the music. I can confirm that the first track, titled "All I Want," appears to have brightness baked into the tape as it's bright on both the the CD and the MoFi. Other than that endemic sound glitch, the MoFi is a real revelation ... I'd say it feels as of you're sitting in a small room with Joni listening to her sing just for you. It's a very intimate experience, and one that I recommend highly. I look forward to the other Joni MoFi releases. If they're anything like "Blue," then we're all in for a huge treat.

I've been listening to that album/disc for 50 years, and I often think that there is a problem with microphone overload on the recording. There are moments when it really hurts your ears. Still worth it because it's a masterwork.
