Most reputable independent tube equipment repair facilities in the US ?

Not that I need it now but maybe in the future, especially for equipment no longer supported by the manufacturer, some European or Japanese exotics, real vintage etc.

I mean, master level trustworthy technicians.

Do you know anyone ?

C. Schnieder @ Holt Hill Audio in Mass. I have found no one better to work on my Con Jon & ARC tube amps. You gotta wait a bit cause he's busy, (understandable) but it's well worth it. I'm not a fan of shipping either. Too many hands all over your package, lol. Fortunate to have this tech/shop 30mins from me. Just my opinion

Had a 70 lb Reflection tube amp that was damaged twice in shipping ...

So I would not ship a tube amp ever again..

Our facility is in Northern New Jersey.  We have a sound room set-up there also.  My partner has a Masters degree in electronic design so he is able to repair almost anything we have received when other repair shops cannot.

We also enjoy meeting new people and letting them hear our own products.

Look us up and reach out if you need our assistance.

Peter,

Thank you.

Just for possible future. Do you also service and calibrate R2R decks or could give a referral ? I might get Otari deck later, not likely Studer.

But for now I only have my VAC Avatar's SE volume control knob making scratching noises. I don't know if it is a wear or just dirt, but I am not going to ship it to VAC for that or even take it to your facilities. It's minor at the moment.
