Nakamichi DR3 cable/sockets
Thank you for all your responses. My apologies again just to clarify my situation. The plate at the rear on the DR3 shows four sockets. Input Left has white inner socket, Input Right socket has Red inner socket. Output Left has white inner, Output Right has Blue inner. My confusion remains which of my RCA cables fit into the above sockets? The colour of the RCA cables are Blue, Red, Yellow and Blue. |
Take a look here, however it appears the 1st reply is wrong. The 2nd one by Happy Listener seems to be correct as noted by the last post. http://forums.naimaudio.com/topic/quesion-about-connecting-a-tape-deck-to-a-naim-pre-using-chord-chysalis-cable Looks like red(R) and black(L) go to record input on the DR-3, with yellow(R) and blue(L) going to the playback output. There is a conflicting post here that states yellow is L, and blue is R. http://forums.naimaudio.com/topic/tape-loop-colour-coding You may need to try both ways for the output and listen to see which is correct. As always, connections should be made with equipment turned off. |
