Neotech vs Stager silver solids

I my experience the biggest difference between any interconnects is fhe difference between silver and copper.  You're looking at one of each.  Because the current is very low, a quality silver plate is almost the same as solid silver.

This is a heated subect, so I'll preface it that this is my opinion based on my experience.  I'm not trying to say those that disagree with me are wrong.

I find that silver tends to boost the highs, which some intepret as degrading the lows. Turn it up so the lows are the same as they were with copper and you have boosted highs.  

Some people are finewith the boosted highs.  this can be because their system is a bit weak in this area for their taste.  It can also be because they have hearing loss in the high end and this works great for them.  

So if you are happy with the sound of your system with copper interconnects, stick with copper.

Before purchasing, you should definitely see if you could borrow the silver interconnects that you're considering for an in-home audition with your audio system, because system matching with silver cabling is a requirement.  If you're not careful, silver cables can easily tilt your system toward the bright side of things.  The one time I did venture to try silver in my audio system, they ended up being a little bit too sharp for my taste.  In my current audio system, the only silver cabling  I use is, one cable (power cable), that's a hybrid silver/copper cable, with excellent results.  However, when it comes to interconnects, high quality copper XLRs have pretty much always been my go-to  interconnects.  I would say that, quality copper XLRs would be the safe bet for you, as well.  Happy listening.

I used a different Neotech wire, but I did prefer it over the Stager silvers. 

Typically I buy highly reviewed audio equipment. This gives some assurance of sound and build quality. Components must be of the right flavor as well as excel at performance. Interconnects are even trickier, since there is a real question of synergy. So, I would recommend choosing from highly reviewed main stream interconnects. Also, trying before you buy. The cable company has a lending library so you can find the right brand for you. Buying among the hundreds of off brands in an attempt to save money can easily satisfy you while performing poorly.

You have a lot of good components... I’d take your time and verify what you put in is optimal. I use Cardas, DHLabs, Transparent and Audio Quest as my go to... but it is very system dependent. I have all Transparent on my system today.
