NEW PROTOTYPE FUSES COMING >>>

I’ve been asked to evaluate/beta test some new fuses that will be coming out soon. I should have them as soon as this coming Saturday.

At this point:

1. I cannot reveal the name of the manufacturer of the fuses.
2. I do not know what the retail price will be.
3. I do not know what the name of the fuse will be.

For comparison purposes, I have a full complement of SR Orange fuses that can be used throughout the system. I have one QSA Yellow fuse now being used in my ARC-PH8 phono stage, with another one to arrive soon to be used in my ARC REF-75se.

I’ll be comparing the SR Orange fuses, and the QSA fuses, with the new prototype fuses. I’ll also be using the ears of three of my well-seasoned audiophile friends, as well as my own to make the evaluations. These guys are all truth-tellers that I have full confidence in.

According to the manufacturer, these new fuses are real game-changers, so stay tuned.

Looking forward to to your findings. The more choices we have  the better.
‘There sure seems to be a lot of new fuses coming out lately.
I tried many fuses over the years, they do seem to be getting better.
I tried to SR orange fuse in my amps but my amps didn’t like the physical fit. And yes I got the right size. I felt that I was warping the fuse to get it in the amps, they should have fit.

I ordered the QSA fuses a few weeks ago. I have received 1 fuse so far. Waiting on the second fuse to arrive. The QSA fuse are a little smaller than the SR fuses. 6.3mm x 30mm. SR fuses are 6.3mm x 32mm.
hope they  fit my amps better.

‘Fuses used to be the 3AG type years ago. 1/4” x 1-1/4”. The SR fuses should have fit. I measured the SR fuses with my digital caliper, they seemed to be ok.
‘Good luck with your evaluations.
‘Respectfully
Joe
