New setup advice - coming from Sonos and going to analog

I currently have two Play 5 Sonos speakers and a Sonos port, connected to my REGA P3. As I realize the bottleneck is with Sonos equipment, I’m looking to build out a new analog system. If I wanted to go vintage, what are some recommendations and pairings for receiver and speakers. I probably want to go (size wise) with a standmount speaker.
