Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?

Hi,

I'd love to hear the impressions of people who've actually spent some time with these speakers to share their sense of their plusses and minuses. Mapman here on Audiogon is a big fan, and has shared lots on them, but I'm wondering who else might be familiar with them.

BE careful. The Ohm Walshes in particular tend to be pretty robust in my experience but amp clipping puts any speaker at risk of being damaged. I’d go easy until the new amps arrive.   I predict the new amps and OHMs may just blow you away (in a good way that is).
Will do mapman! I am sure as the speakers and the new class D amp break in, the sound gets better and better. I just have to be patient. From what I have heard, both devices need extended break-in time.
After reading the comments about folks adding a super tweeter to their speakers, I was a little concerned that the top end of the Ohms is somewhat dull but It definitely is not the case.
Oh BTW, there is plenty of bass available with the 10" driver for me. I have no need or desire to add a sub. Even for HT duty, there is ample bass.
I think, these speakers are bottoming out at about 35-40Hz which is fine.
Not being able to go down to 20Hz is not a problem for me at all.
Tweeters are angled 45 degree in with normal Ohm Walsh floorstanders and do not provide direct exposure with most listening locations by design.  Orienting to have the tweets more directly face  the listening position is not necessary imho but does brighten things up but also  has effect of narrowing soundstage.

Take a take a fleshlight shine it in through the grill/can and see were the
tweeter is, mark the orientation for future use.....

Simple.......🇸🇪

Yes, I've heard that a Fleshlight can improve the tweeter orientation if used properly. I hadn't thought about marking it though.
