One ProAc Response 2.5 Lost Audio

One speaker has suddenly almost lost all audio...I can hear VERY weak audio....very weak. Other speaker is fine.  Have checked all CD Player connections, interconnects and speaker-to-amp connections as well as speaker cable connections..  With another speaker connected to speaker cables, works fine.  Have pulled both the tweeter and main driver...all connections are fine. Have tried both bi-wire speaker terminal sets and no change.  Any suggestions?  I live in Charlotte, NC and this seems to be a speaker repair desert...one prospect that I guess I'll check out, but any suggestions I can do to better trouble-shoot this issue will be appreciated.

Most likely the problem is a blown xover!

Yes I would guess a capacitor in that crossover failed. If possible you might need to remove that crossover yourself and find someone online who can fix it.

There used to be a pretty big market for people building DIY "clones" of the Proac Response models. You might be able to find a hobbyist capable of troubleshooting it, even better if they are already familiar with the design. Sort of a longshot though. Good luck on the search.

I've found 2 repair facilities that look promising where I can ship the crossover board to be checked out.  Once you get inside these things, they are pretty simple...takes a lot of the apprehension of having to ship an entire speaker out of the equation. Thanks for the advice.
