Opinions on differing power cable for amp and preamp

What you're essentially asking about is the "full loom" idea.  Like just about everything else on this site, it hasn't been determined one way or another.  Some people swear by it, others swear at it.  Some will prefer different brands for ICs, SCs, and PCs.  There have been threads where people compensate for some feature of an IC (between source and preamp) with a different brand elsewhere (between preamp and power amp).  As has been said, no one on this site can tell you definitively about your issue.  Experiment--but try to make sure everything is returnable!

@twoleftears Thank you. And yes I know this is extremely subjective and there is no definitive answer. But this is a place where I respect the opinions/experience/advice of all of you and always appreciate anyone just taking the time to respond. I feel like it's always good to get the opinions and advice of those you respect and then mix/match all of those to better help with any decision. The great thing about Transparent is they do have a great upgrade policy and although I know there are those that have differing opinions of Transparent (like everything of course), I have always found them to be a great match with Dynaudio and Rotel in the past for me...

kingbr, my suggestion was about a used Super mm cord. The mm series was the third generation from Transparent. The Premium mm2 was from the fourth generation of product. The mm2 would be a step up compared to the mm series (often unofficially called mm1).The current Gen 5 Premium cord is a bit different from previous generations in that the cord ends are a different brand and are gold plated (at least it was so on the one that passed through my hands). I didn't keep that one. A Gen 5 Premium might be overshooting the target with your current preamp which, I am not familiar with. Perhaps a premium mm2 would be a good choice. Unfortunately, the market for used Transparent cords has been very dry lately. Besides ebay, Agon and Audio Mart, keep an eye on the following websites for Transparent product, Echo Audio, Sunny Audio Video and Paragon Sight and Sound.

Thank you @mwh777 ! Appreciate you following up and clarifying, and for the added detail. And I so know the market has been dry lately for Transparent cords, I've been hunting religiously, LOL! But I've only been hunting here and Ebay. I'll expand my search...Another great insight on overshooting on the preamp. I know Rotel isn't exactly high end, but back in the day I had the RMB1095 driving my Dynaudio Audience and even though I love my current setup (Evoke/Simaudio) there was just something truly magical about that system that I still miss :(. But I'm not sure this particular preamp would justify that kind of $ upgrade for the power cable. 

But a used Super would certainly be nice if I could find one :)
