Transparent Audio is anything but Transparent
Sorry to hear about your experience. I have actually had GREAT customer service from them always. Every time I call/email Ian has been so super responsive and up front. I live in NH, and they're in ME so every time I order I get my cables next day...
Ever have terminated speaker wires crossed/mislabeled from manufacturer?
How exactly do you use the continuity meter?
Ever have terminated speaker wires crossed/mislabeled from manufacturer?
Thanks for the info @erik_squires @ellajeanelle ! What's weird is that I know if the wires are crossed it's supposed to be audible (lack of bass), but I didn't notice that when I played them before I did the Audyssey setup.    I also read th...

Bluesound Node! AMAZING entry unit. I literally after many many years of swearing I’ll never stream finally dove in. Got the Node and am still blown away by the sound of this little unit. The internal DAC is frighteningly good for its price point....
Amp — Leave on or turn off
I use my HT system Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Mon-Thurs the wife and I are in our living room. I used to leave everything on. But then figured if my system was going to be completely unused for 4 days, wouldn't it be better to power everything down? ...
Sonus Faber Sonetto V’s Thoughts Requested
Very welcome @dbeckwith. So much great posters and members here and this is always the first place I go to when I need advice/support. Speaks very well to your character that you reply to all comments. I always try to do the same… By the way my S...
Sonus Faber Sonetto V’s Thoughts Requested
@hazeloop I too had Dynaudio. Back in the day the Audience line (82's) was to date the best I have ever heard/owned. Unfortunately, I had to sell them after my divorce. I still miss them...   @dbeckwith I went from Dynaudio Evoke to Revel Perfor...
Sonus Faber Sonetto V’s Thoughts Requested
I literally just shipped my III’s on Monday for a trade up to the V’s. They should be here next week. I bought the III’s unheard and can tell you @ghdprentice nailed it with his “natural house sound” comment. I completely agree! I also agree with ...
Can a DAC do double duty?
Thanks again All! So yup decided that’s the route I’m going! I’ll list the Ares II, AQ Water RCA’s. AQ Coffee Coax and add my Transparent Coax (XLR’s are Transparent and I already have the Transparrent Premium Coax hanging around) to the Pontus. ...
Can a DAC do double duty?
So that being the case, then I would just switch between Coax and USBB on Pontus to switch from CD player to streamer, right?
Can a DAC do double duty?
Just received this response from Alvin:   Dear Brian   Nice to hear from you again! It's been some time since we last spoke. How are you doing? I hope you are doing well.   Absolutely no problem to connect multiple sources to the DAC's input...
Can a DAC do double duty?
Damn, thank you for pointing this out. I actually emailed Alvin at Vinshine about this and they're currently on holiday break...Guess I'd better put those plans on hold 😔
Can a DAC do double duty?
@amtprod not sure if it’s A6 version? Got her off EBay a few years ago. In a previous life I had the PD-F908 and sold that one after my divorce. A few years ago when I got back into the game the first thing I looked for was a Pioneer carousel. Cam...
Can a DAC do double duty?
LOVE that the Elite player got some attention!😊   I did have to have the “arm” replaced as a cd came loose somehow and jammed up everything. My local guy said “it wasn’t worth fixing because of cost”, and he wasn’t sure he could get the part nee...
