Quad CDP 99 CD player

This player has been getting a lot of forum time on the Audio Asylum so you may want to look there as well for some information.

If you dig a bit here on the 'Gon it has been discussed in threads where people are looking for CD players with volume controls, which the 99CDP has.

Hifi News ended up choosing the 99 Series as components of the year so they are getting some press, just seems to be mostly british. But TAS also did a review of it in their August 2003 which was very favorable.

It's a great player. It tends to get overlooked because "Quad" is more synonymous with speakers rather than electronics.
