Replacing JL Audio F112 v1

Why not look into a used mint JL F112 V1 ?? There are others like you (myself included) that have a lightly used 10 year old singular JL F112 v1 and would like a second, but stuck in a similar situation and for a fair price they may part ways as they are willing to buy two V2's ?!? 

FWIW - I have Utopia EVO and JL for theater room setup, very happy with the combo as well

If one has mid level mains, SVS or Rythmic are fine but they won't be fast enough to do the high end Focals justice.  Speed is not about how fast they make sound but actually how fast they stop making a sound and get out of the way again.  Power and grip is what's needed to make this happen and unfortunately you get what you pay for.  

This very thing you speak of is why Rythmik subs incorporate servo technology.

Another fan of Rythmik here. In fact, I've got the same setup as mesonto, two G22's with Focal mains (Sopra 1's, in my case). They are FANTASTIC with music and "fast" enough to use with any mains. The home theater crowd doesn't love them because they don't have as much of the tactile sensations that they crave, but that is part of the reason they're so good with music. Rythmik makes other subs geared more toward home theater usage. If you have a big room you may want to consider G25's with dual 15" drivers. The G22's are plenty for my dedicated room though, (15' x 22' x 8') and the way I've got them set up (modest levels, rumble filter on, etc) they are loafing and never break a sweat. Highly recommended.

I currently have an SVS SB4000 and reading this thread verifies it's challenges.  If you could purchase a brand new JL sub at 50% off, would any of you consider it superior to the Rythmik?
