The issue you are having may be bad capacitors. JL has known issues with F112v1 capacitors and issued a "DYI" cap replacement memo that specifies which caps to replace -- a total of 8.
If you are not an DYI'r (yes, there's a bit to this), the parts cost is less than $20 if you can get the JL to a competent servicer. We are proactively doing this for a customer at present.
I am usually pretty complimentary of manufacturers and try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But, JLs option of $3k+ for a V2 upgrade is not a customer-focused alternative to a broken V1. "The boards are no longer available, so your unit is dumpster material, or pay us $3k (plus the cost of shipping the unit it us + sales tax)" is not my idea of how to take care of customers who paid a premium for a "best in class" product; (I was a JL dealer for 20+ years)
