Schiit Audio Vali 2 as a preamp

The Vali has two gain options, high and low. High gain is 14dB and should work fine. Why not just try it out?

I once had the BK 140 amp driving original Vandi 2. Truly enjoyed that combination mid 80s - mid 90s.

Thanks. I am going to try it out. Yes, the BK/Vandersteen do sound amazing together. Currently using a Rotel RC-995 pre.

I was using my ST-140 with B&K pro 10 MC pre. I lived with those components for 25 years. 

I have the Vali 2++, Lyr 3 and Asgard 3 in my collection. All work fine as preamps as long as you don't need to select from multiple input sources.

@mlsstl The only source I be using is lossless files from my Thinkpad laptop.
