SR Master Fuse on preamp

Hello,

I am currently running an Aric Audio Super 6SN7 preamp with a Synergistic Research Purple fuse. Very happy with the combination but I am curious about the  Master Fuse. My understanding is that it works best on source devices, DAC. CD players etc. My player is hard wired so no fuse upgrade there. Has anyone tried the Master fuse on their preamp? What were your impressions?
